Crime Victim’s Advocacy Project (CVAP)

The Crime Victim’s Advocacy Program at Creative Visions has been in existence since 2018. However, Creative Visions has provided support to victims and their families since it’s inception in 1996.

The Crime Victim’s Advocacy Program provides services to victims and their families. Creative Visions has a grant with the Attorney General’s office to provide services to Survivors of Homicide and other violent crimes. However, we serve victims of all crimes including physical assault, sexual assault, domestic abuse, robbery, and even identity theft to name a few.

Our services are vast and include help completing victim compensation applications, victim registration, victim impact statements, accompaniment to court, law enforcement and criminal justice interviews advocacy and accompaniment. We also provide assistance with obtaining housing and employment. Whatever we can’t do within Creative Visions we refer out to community partners. We provide referrals to mental health resources, medical resources, government programs and legal assistance to name a few. Basically anything a survivor would need we either help them or seek out an entity who can help. Every survivor is different and we are always looking for new ways to aid them in their journey from victim to survivor.
