Creative Visions Human Development Institute serves as a community resource to provide information and services that impact the safety and success of economically vulnerable communities.The specific programs include:
Knowledge is Power Series
Community forums designed to provide educational and economic empowerment information to overcome poverty and develop financial literacy.
Traffic Safety
Workshops that promotes traffic safety and the dangers of driving while distracted.
Computer Classes
Meet every Monday from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Each class is 6-8 weeks and weekly attendance is expected. Classes are free and open to the public, but you must register by calling Creative Visions 244-4003.
I Am Green Energy Efficiency Program
The I Am Green Energy program is a multi-lingual program to teach households about the need to reduce their energy use and save money in return. The program provides practical low costs tips that can be used by any household. The program is co-sponsored by the Iowa Energy Fund and Mid- American Energy. Sunday Feed
A community meal to primarily serve the homeless, elderly and sick and shut-ins.
Peer to Peer Mentor Group.
Open to young women ages 14-18. Provides mentoring and positive support to young women.
