Creative Visions Human Development Institute Partners with Iowa KidsNet to Promote National Adoption Month

Event To Raise Awareness of the Urgent Need for Adoptive Families.

Des Moines, IowaNovember 1, 2011 Creative Visions Human Development Institute is pleased to announce its partnership with Iowa KidsNet to co-sponsor a candlelight vigil to help raise the awareness for children waiting to be adopted from foster care.

The event will seek highlight the need for more foster and adoptive families. “Through local candlelight vigils, held at the same time across the state, we’ll raise awareness for children in foster care who need loving families,” said event organizers.  

“Creative Visions is honored to have been asked to help co-host this worthwhile event. We hope that our partnership will help KidsNet to help shed light on the need for more foster and adoptive parents, said Ako Abdul- Samad, Creative Visions CEO

Iowa KidsNet is a statewide collaboration of six Iowa agencies dedicated to children and families. Iowa KidsNet currently has the responsibility to recruit, train, license and support Iowa’s foster and adoptive parents. Iowa KidsNet agencies also partner on other child welfare initiatives with the goal of helping all of Iowa’s children reach their potential for greatness.

Creative Visions was founded in 1995 with a mission of developing economically vulnerable individuals, families and communities into becoming self-empowered, self-responsible, and self- sufficient through education and economic empowerment.

Creative Visions frequently partners with community organizations to maximize community resources and expand their reach of services into the community and to help ensure the communities receive the help they need and deserve
