Creative Visions Traffic Safety Team Performs at Governors Traffic Safety Conference.
Peer 2 Peer, Creative Visions youth group promoting traffic safety recently performed at the Governors Traffic Safety Conference spreading the message of traffic safety and the perils of distracted driving.
The youth group, led by Creative Visions’ Traffic Safety Program Coordinator Tiffany Johnson, developed a skit that highlighted various distracted driving practices, such as talking or texting on a cell phone, listening to loud music, applying make-up, eating, or engaging in lively conversation.
Unlike many other traffic safety programs, Creative Visions utilizes youth to help spread the message of responsible driving because urban drivers, especially African-American drivers, have been identified as the group most involved in distracting driving accident and fatalities.
This is the second year that Creative Visions has been involved in the Governors Traffic Safety Bureau Program and Creative Visions Traffic Safety Program and Peer 2 Peer group are supported by a grant from the GTSB.
If you are a youth or have a child between the ages of 14 and 18 and would like to participate, please contact Creative Visions at (515) 244-4003 or please visit our Face Book page at www.facebook.com/creativevisions“peer2peer”trafficsafteyprogram
